Title:
Error 1884 - uniqueness of primary key is violated
Hi, I have a table in buffering mode 5, it contains the transaction table with transaction_date as the primary key. In the form, there is a button. User could delete any record in the grid by pressing button, and then press button to perform a TableUpdate().
Well, the problem is that, when a record is deleted, (but not yet TableUpdate) and the user add another new record, with the same date as the deleted record, the error 1884 is arised! I think the user may accidentally delete a certain record, so they want to add it back, of cuz with the same date.
So, is it the Buffering mode 5 characteristic? Is there any way to allow user delete and then add back the same primary key record??
Many thanks in advance.
