I would suspect a documentation omission (the polite term for error). Why... well, first I see a SetFocus but, more importantly, in the Help for LostFocus it is *not* listed as applicable to a Grid *BUT* it does say "A Grid loses its focus when a user presses...".
This indicates that there was an intention to include it, in my humble opinion.

Also, if you and now others start to use it, it will have to stick for subsequent releases. I'm sure there is more than one thing in VFP which has that origin.
