I agree, I SHOULDN'T have to do that, but I thought that maybe if I did that it would help, but there's no diff if I set an index or not. There are about 61000 records in this database. Anyone have a clue as to what's going on?

Here's a recap of my problem: I'll do a simple interactive search, send the results back to my form, have it LOCATE FOR field = value. It can take up to 7 minutes!! It's as if it's searching the whole database, but not according to the index; WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?!?!?! <:F
