I've put this info on file. In this instance, the data is static (has been for five years) and there was a lot of research into it when I first compiled the data. Another reason that I want to embed the data is to keep everything enclosed in one file.
Other projects I've got lined up later will need external data storage and I will have a good read of the info supplied by yourself and Vlad at the time. In the mean time, I will look at STL (as suggested by Vlad). I've already reduced the data capacity significantly and can comfortably embed it in the DLL without to great an impact on speed. I've already tested with large data sets and it works fast so, when I reduce the data store tonight, it should work at a good speed.
