i see but as soon as i use the form.hide() the calling form cannot get the value of the ssid from form2 so i am then unable to set the filter the other thing is that it will load the second form once but after that it will not load it up again i beleive it is lingering in memory and i am not unloading it properly would all this be handled differently if i where to use a class
