Ugh, I think this is the same problem I stumbled over some time ago. Going through the FoxFire source code, it was a logical hole in a check for OS version (not expecting NT go higher than 3.5...). I think the advice I got from MicroMedia was "Upgrade to 3.0". You should contact tech support anyway, though...
We dropped FoxFire at that time (for different reasons), but I'd be curious to know how you get to solve this situation.
