>This is a well-known bug in the view designer that surfaces when you try to create a view with more than one join. You can still create the view, you just have to do it with CREATE SQL VIEW. Making a view updatable and adjusting other properties without the view designer can be a pain though, but there is a tool in the files section here called eView that is designed to help you through just that.
Erik:
What a great tool eView is!! A lot of time and effort went into it--can't tell you how much I appreciate you making it available. I have learned my lesson with VFP view designer. One question, though: Where do you usually leave the code in a finished app--in the PRG file that you create (doesn't seem very OOPy), as a method on the form, as a method of a class for all views, etc. . .?
Thanks again for the assist and for creating this little eView jewel. For all of you out there who read this and use views (and who doesn't??), GRAB THIS UTILITY!
John
