My new customer wants lots of trics from raports, most of them can be done if to know line number on the report, to my surprise _plineno system variable gave me allways zero (0) so I could not to put it in on page command/ rownum function could not be used instead because one field in details band could be place on one line or two lines or 3 lines it is memo field/ My customer reasonably wants to have all
fields from one record on one page , so if memo field could not be printed on one page end, it should start on new page, but should not be splitted on diffrent pages. For example, the full company name could be very long and stretch option in the report will make few lines. If long field will start somewhere near the page end , it will continue on the next page Group boundaries have option to start new group on the next page, but how about record level?
On page command gave nothing result, eject page also did nothing.
At last I was so angree, that wrote function, that I placed in report details band to calculate _plineno by force. It assingned _plineno,
bu on page command ignored this and did nothing.
