Does it occur only in combinations with grids ??

I've had such an error when i add a record to the grid which it was bound to and there was a validation rule on the record or control which the pointer or cursor was on before the INSERT command was issued.

The remedy was to get the focus off the grid, insert a record, and put the focus back on the grid.
