I've done this (with even bigger files) and it's slow, especially since, in all probability, they're not even at 56Kbps (this has to do with the way dial-up 56K connections work; you'd need a special modem on the RAS server attached to a digital line, and then, the best they could do would be 33.6 outbound to the RAS server, and about 52Kbps inbound, assuming a noiseless connection. In reality, the connection is more than likely going to be 33.6Kbps both ways at best, and it can be far worse depending on line conditions.)
They might well do better dialing into a machine using some sort of remote control software (ie PCAnyWhere) or using NT Terminal Server, and running the app on the other side of the wire; all that would have to pass between the remote PC and the system at the main site would be screen updates and keystrokes.
