We went with reformat and reinstall. It works for now, but it took a reformat. We tried surface scan, defrag, reinstall windows, safe mode, etc... I'll pay attention to office and IE the next time this comes up, and I KNOW there will be a next time.

Or, what version of Office, if any, is installed. VFP6, apparently, does not work and play well with some MS DLLs. I wish I could be more specific but this is conjecture.
