I'm afraid no. I never used that control so I don't have a bit idea why it doesn't work. You might try storing the day, month, year to temporary local variables first (before using in frmCaller.txtDateOut.value =).
Second I would try creating Day, Month, Year custom properties in caller and store return values there.
BTW: Might it be that ctod() returning empty value for it's expecting ie: DMY but getting MDY (an invalid date then would return empty - 1/1/1999 always would return a value but not 13/1/1999). To test this return w/o ctod() conversion to another temporary textbox control.
