Can you elaborate a little bit more on what you are trying to do and why you don't want to use a READ EVENTS? Is this a converted FPW/FPD application?

>Is there any way I can define, activate and enable a bar menu (programatically defined at run-time) in the main _screen window using a DOS style READ instead of READ EVENTS? If I use _screen.show(1) to force the screen to be modal, I get the menu popups to open disabled.
> The Micro Endeavors Foxpro 2.x Migration Manual suggests, and I quote "Now you know that incrementally building a READ-Compatible Visual Foxpro is not only possible, but also quite usable in the real world." It doesn't have much to say on the subject of how to do it, though.
