If it's the Visual Studio CDs, I believe you can choose which options are installed. The installation is supposed to take care of pointing to where the installed components are (updating the registry). As an MSDN subscriber, I get the quarterly library, and install it entirely on my hard drive. (I would rather play music with my CD ROM< g >). So every quarter I get an updated VFP help file as part of the deal.
>Why isn't this an installation option - seems pretty silly, doesn't it?
It's understandable (given the amount of material) that they're on separate CDs. It's been awhile since I orginally installed VS, but if I recall correctly, I wondered where the help was. Then I read the CD labels.:-)
>BTW - The upsizing problem has gone away; it was a server issue - I had crashed out of an earlier session, and the server thought the DBC was still open.
Good to hear it.
