There is a funny story about this photo. You can't see the rest of it but I have on a full length trench coat. I have a cousin who is a two-star admiral in the US Navy. I hadn't seen him for years and he had never seen me with my beard so long. He was comming through Houston and called and invited me to meet him at his hotel for dinner with his brother, who is the chief flight enginer for NASA, and another military friend that I didn't know. I put on the hat, dark glasses, and trench coat and walked up to them in the lobby of one of the big hotels here. I just said hello and stood there. They had do idea how to react untile I took off the hat and glasses. I have a feeling that he saw his carrer going down the drain thinking of what would happen if photos of him meeting a Russian officer while off duty ever got out.

My wife took the photo and my nephew scanned it. It is the only photo that I have of myself in digital form.
