This is a stab in the dark. Is is possible it's some sort of pathing problem, i.e. your exe can't find the data file? Other than that, I'd try running it from the project manager so you can step through to see where the error is occuring. Anything I've seen like this is usually a typo (e.g I misspelled or put a comma in place of a period when referring to the control source, or didn't have the data in the right place.)
