As you advised I installed
the Chartfx ActiveX control using regsvr32 i.e.

REGSVR32 /S C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\CFX32.OCX

Checked the registry and it was there.
But when I open my .SCX containing the ChartFX it says:
OLE error code 0x80040112: Appropriate license for this class
not found.

You see, when I custom-installed VFP6 from Visual Studio on my
original P200/W95, it automatically installed ChartFX
because I'd chosen the ActiveX Controls option, and my .SCX opened ok.
This problem stems from my identical installation on my P400/W95,
whereby ChartFX did not install.

Any further suggestions most welcome.
