That was with the intro of Clipper 5.0 if I recall. Swappable database drivers. Well, we see where Clipper is now.

Remember the language wars with Clipper coders? They used to sit all smug about how they had a true compiler while FoxBASE and FPD were interpreted? Where are they now? I thought I saw one the other day holding a "Will Code for Food" sign. I could be wrong though :-)

Sounds like I'm bashing Clipper but I'm not. Clipper was a GREAT compiler. It's just a shame that it was never successfully taken into the Windows world.
