I like that a lot. You might be interested to know that I am a "convinced Quaker." That means that I joined the Quakers (The Society of Friends) as an adult. I joined a few months before the birth of my son, Clayton, who is almost 5. That makes him a "birthright Quaker."

The Friends, in case you are not familiar with them, have publicly opposed violence and war for centuries. My local meeting in Charlottesville, Virginia has been speaking out against the death penalty. Virignia, I am sad to say, executes more persons per capita than any other state in the USA.

At his first press announcement after the Columbine HS shootings, Clinton had the audacity to say that we must learn to resolve our differences by discussion and negotiation rather than violence.
