I am in the process of writing an asset management program and I need the ability to do a "virtual audit" of a users pc and store that information in a master database. Is anyone aware of any API tollkits that I can use (or any other methods) to be able to detect workstation hardware, software, memory usage, etc, and store it in a file so I can use it in my management application?
