True. But the power of a language is so relative... I can't say which is more powerful between C and Asembler, C and FoxPro, etc. The evaluation depends on so many things, and especially on what you have to do...

True again. But I think that K&R is the best book to start if somebody hates C. And there's no need to know C++ to understand Win32API, isn't it?
