I have been using the ADO 2.0 and more recently 2.1 with VB also the DED and both of them are extremely slow, they take forever to load the data . I did a comparison with 4000 records using the Data Environment in VB and I am still waiting for the data to load. I also tried this time with 30,000 records using the basic DAO 3.51 commands and the the data loaded within seconds.

I said all of that to say, why would you really want to use the ADO, the darn thing is dead slow and requires tonnes of code even in VB where I do most of my work. I love fox very much It is my first language so don't encourage our guys to go to ADO, the thing is just endless headaches to get data up and running properly.

Sorry to be so negative but 12 months of that ADO is enough.
