Are you saying that you will need 600 *fields* or *records* here? It will be impossible to have 600 fields, because the limit is 256 fields.
>I've got a couple of memo fields in one of my tables. We're thinking about putting a complete explanation in the memo fields which means it would go in about 600 memo fields (for each pc in the inventory).

>Now, we've been running slower in certain points becuase there's an array created from one of the fields in this table and it's gotten so large. But the field chosen by the array is not one of these memo fields. So I'm thinking the addition of all that text in the memo field won't slow that part of the program down.

>However, it would slow down the cycling through the screens that do display those fields, right? And it would eat up more RAM since it would have to pull the contents of each of these memo fields into the screen for each item that has them, right?

>I guess, basically, I'm just not sure of the internal workings of memo fields and was hoping someone could clear me up. Thanks!
