Instead of subclassing Dataenvironment to make cdataenvironment, how about if you coded it as a wrapper instead... redefine cdataenvironment as custom or line or label... create all the properties and methods that DataEnvironment has... then, in the init of cDataEnvironment, instantiate DataEnv... all code will call that class instead of dodefault or dataenvironment:: ?

I kind of miss the old cDataEnvironment.prg. It is hard to learn the framework, trying to read all the methods of cDataenvironment with the vcxeditor. Also, I've found that the old method of editing aDataenvironment.prg is a lot more flexible. Putting things in wrapper classes may be just the answer.
