>Ok . . I understand the logical value of !EMPTY() compared to the DateTime() value is an operandi mismatch but I guess I don't understand why this has worked for months in other forms (of course not now!). This coding is in the valid for a textbox and is in a class. I'm needing to validate that the date/time entered cannot be greater than the current date/time. Thanks

I really doubt that your code was working before. It's very weird. Check for other things, like 2 classes with very similar names, etc.
