No, just by setting the WhatsThisHelpIds on the controls, even without the button and no HelpContextIds specified, VFP treats it just like context-sensitive help. By doing that, I get the expected behavior from my test form: on those controls that have a specified WhatsThisHelpId, the help shows up with the right topic. On those controls where it's 0, it navigates up the object hierarchy until it finds a positive or -1.

BTW: even when I set the HelpContextIds, it doesn't work.
