Mr. Levy pointed out to me that if the documentation does not specifically mention COM objects then they are excluded. Although I think the documentation should make a more explicit distinction, this is a very helpful guideline.

I agree here. Better documentation is always helpful. That goes for MS all the way down to this humble developer. Of course, if I could get my users to read mine, it'd help too < g >.
