That could be. I haven't worked with the Status Bar for sometime and didn't remember exactly how it worked.

Could be??? Jeez, I have only been working with VFP for 8 months now. I'm not an MVP, like yourself, and I know that an event does not generate when the message changes in the ActiveX control. Does that mean I can be an MVP too? Of course, If I was not sure about the answer, I would do something wacky like looking at the help file before giving what could be a half-baked answer. Of course, I am very much impressed with the fact that you know that the ActiveX Status Bar Control exists. Actually, If I did not know better, I think you were just trying to let people know, through some sort of false bravado, that you know that VFPCOM exists. Of course, since it is a new product enhancement, would you be so kind as to enlighten us non-MVP's what VFPCOM is for? You have already provided an example of where it would not be appropriate. Perhaps you would like to take another stab at providing an example of where VFPCOM would be appropropriate. If nothing else, it will boost you message count by 1.

Sorry, but I expect more from the guru community here.
