Speaking as a non-smoker who also hates what Erik mentioned, but hates government over-regulation even worse, I think it's an awful law.

Leave it up to bar owners to have a smoke free bar if they want to, and Erik and I and my non-smoking friends can hang out there if we want to.

For the State (read: any government body) to tell every business in it's jurisdiction whether it can allow smoking within it's premises is pure fertilizer.
