>>>The new update release of VFP6 (coming soon) allows you to re-dimension arrays in a DLL. You will be able to use ACOMARRAY() to allow passing VFP objects to COM servers, both VFP servers and other types of COM servers.

>>So, what is this 'realease' going to cost us? IS it a free SP, or is it a new version we will all have to buy?

>Actually when you think of paying $360-$500 a year for a computer language that makes you thousands of dollars, rubles, francs, shekels, etc. it isn't too bad.
No.. it's not that I think the price of the software is bad... it's a bargin.. I know other development environments can cost ten times what VFP does. My issue is, I don't like to pay for BUG fixes!!! Granted there are alot of new features in the new version which I am sure I would be ahppy to pay for, I just like paying for bug fixes.
If the 'next version' that I have heard about all these features is shipped as a FREE service pack, I gotta tell you, I will be shocked!!!
The rumor in the VFUG newsletter is that it is a new version called 6.5, and I generally expect a charge when the version number changes.
