First off, there's no FoxPro 2.1 so you might want them to double-check that version. If they're using 2.0, 2.5, or 2.6 I know that FoxPro will still function. Whether their application functions or not is another question. Chances are it won't crash but if the application only allows them to enter two digit years for dates they will definitely have problems. 01/01/00 will be interpreted as 1/1/1900. Worst of all, they won't be able to enter 2/29/00 at all because VFP will interpret it as 2/29/1900. 1900 wasn't a leap year but 2000 will be. The bottom line is that without some testing and a review of their code there's no guarantee that the application will run or that it will work properly. I have a white paper on my web site (link below) with more info on FoxPro and Y2K.

>A non-profit business would like to know if a 10 year old foxpro 2.1 DOS system they use to collect data that is written in foxpro 2.1 for Dos will encounter y2k issues. They have a NT network and y2k compatible hardware. Their concern is primarily, will foxpro 2.1 for DOS function, not if the date calculation, etc will be exactly correct
