>A non-profit business would like to know if a 10 year old foxpro 2.1 DOS system they use to collect data that is written in foxpro 2.1 for Dos will encounter y2k issues. They have a NT network and y2k compatible hardware. Their concern is primarily, will foxpro 2.1 for DOS function, not if the date calculation, etc will be exactly correct
Foxpro 2.1 for DOS stores the dates with 4 years
however they (most probably) do need to change thier screens so that people would be able to key in the 4 digits.
also they need to explicitly SET CENTURY to 20 since in FPD the default is 19xx
for the most part they should be ok
FPD will function if thier hardware won't fail (if they are using hardware with old bios they may have problems)
IAC, the most Y2K ready version of foxpro is VFP6 but that would be a re-write for thier app.
