I agree that it shouldn't. However, I have seen VFP crashed by improper parameter passing. For example, if you try to call ExtractAssociatedIcon() in shell32 and don't pass the last parameter by reference...boom. FWIW, anytime I see either "pointer to" or "address of" in the SDK I make it a point to make sure that I pass the value by reference.
