Yes, the shot I am making is it is competition for VFP. It seems that about the only competition VFP has is from MSFT. I can also distribute the VFP runtime royalty free. And I have used the upsizing wizard in VFP6 to move my VFP data to SS7.
I agree with Craig that the only reason MSDE exists to try to move as many people to SQL Server 7.
