I know exactly what you're saying, I have an app with a similar problem in 6. The code quality isn't very good, since it was my first vfp app back in vfp3 days, so it's hard to draw too much conclusion, except that the same app is very fast in 5, and quite slow in 6. Have you run the Coverage Log to see where the slowness is? As I said, some of the hangups were caused by slow refreshes, that weren't really even needed. At least the Coverage log will point out exactly what is slow, and maybe something can be done to improve the slow parts...
