>Hi everyone,
> I am currently using R&R Report Writer for my reporting needs. However, my organization is switching to Crystal Reports 7.0. Unfortunately, I have two tables of Accounts Receivables, one for open and the other for historical records. When I needed information from both in the same report, I could use the SCANNING() function in R&R. How does Crystal Reports link two like tables together into one report? Does crystal have a similar function?
Hi Bill,
Yes, you can create a linked sub-report in Crystal that will do what R&R's SCANNING() function would do. After using R&R for many years and recently switching to Crystal, I found this feature in Crystal to be much better than R&R's multi-scanning feature. You can place the sub-report where you want it and it is a completely separate report design but can be linked to the parent.
Hope this helps!
