I don't get it.
What is the purpose of your message? Are you venting? Do you want help? Are you making a statement?
If you are making some professional changes, then just do it. What's the problem?
>>> If this is the reason you are considering bailing on VFP, may I say that you should rethink your decision. At least, make the decision for reasons that have techincal merit.

>John,
>Everywhere I turn VB resources are available. VB examples pop up in ActiveX Control help systems all the time. I've asked Component Source Tech Support for VFP help systems. I've never received a response.
>
>VB is the programming language used in MS Word, Excel and Access (Office 97).

>Let me say again. I like VFP. I've used it for at least 5 years. I don't take this decision lightly. I've aquired a good skill using this product.

>The company I work for contracts with Naval Fleet Support (SUBMEPP). Now they are backing away from FoxPro after many years. They are even taking some of the FPW26 applications and converting them to Access97 instead of moving up to VFP. The customer I work the closest with at SUBMEPP likes VFP but he can't convince the hierarchy to stay with FoxPro. The hand writing is on the wall.
>
>If VFP opportunities were more abundant in my area and Microsoft provided the support that is deserves, I'm sure I would stay with it. However, everything considered, I don't feel as though I have much of a choice. After everything I just said, it is still the lack of VFP resources that bother me the most.
