I don't have 3.01 loaded anymore, I am using version 4.0. I built the form as you outlined including zapping the countries table and the behavior you describe is not present.

Have you downloaded the latest 3.01 patch from the MaxLink website? If you have, consider filing a bug report to Drew.

Better yet, have you considered upgrading to version 4.0? It will cost you $129.00 to upgrade from 3.01.
