I have Novell 4.1 with Novell Client 32 newest version as primary login. I have three other NT boxes in an NT domain as well. I primarily use the Novell box for file services for Foxpro Dev. I am starting to use UNC instead of drive mapping and in time hope to completly work this way.

You cannot do this with 16 bit like Fox 2.6, Visual almost works I have to set default to:
j:\Customer Files - Commercial\Santech

My path from above default can be (j:\ is \\IXSYS\VOL1\):
SET PATH TO classes,data,forms,graphics,include,libs,main,menus,progs,reports,;
\\IXSYS\VOL1\DEVELOPMENT\VFP6\CEE6,;
\\IXSYS\VOL1\DEVELOPMENT\VFP6\IX.SYS\LIBS

This is much better than drive letters which at some qty of devices have to be juggled with mapping outside of Fox (or inside with a add-on lib). I can also utilize the NT boxes as well under the same scheme which is self documenting.

\\IXSYSNT1\DRIVEC
\\IXSYSNT1\DRIVED
\\IXSYSNT2\DRIVEC
\\IXSYSNT2\DRIVEC
\\IXSYSNT2\CDROM
What ben makes tracks for what wil be. Words in the air pirnt foot steps on the groun for us to put our feet in to.
