I'd say it very different: I smoke, but if 2/3 of my gang don't like it, it's pretty sure that we will go to a non-smoker bar.

But, anyway, people like people like them, so if 4/5 of CA residents are non-smokers, there is a good chance that a 5 people gang will be composed of non smokers only.
