Thanks for your response. I am not in disagreement with you. The nature of the application I mentioned was largely data viewing with the occasional addition here and there. For viewing data, a parametrized(sp?) remote view worked fine and was easily implemented. But when it came to more intensive data work like mass updating etc., SPT was employed.

It's funny that you mentioned the VI DTC's. In my experience they're worse than useless. I hand code ADO and have MUCH less trouble. VI is basically a nice, fancy html/asp editor - to me its usefullness stops there. Oh, and you can debug with it - yeah right ;-)
