Thanks it works now!
However, doing so hard codes the application. Instead of using the word document I would like to use a 'help' type object or a type of scrolling popup window for viewing the help guide... in VB which supports not only text but pictures too. This way the word session doesn't have to be called.

If you can help again that would be great but for now I will leave it as you suggested.
