All of the original MVPs originated on CompuServe. I moved from CIS to the newsgroups to here. There are MVPs that use any combination of locations as they find convenient and beneficial. I'm more productive here and on the newsgroups because it's real time, I can see if someone has already posted a solution so I don't duplicate effort. I was using an offline reader (OzCIS) to reduce long distance ans CIS charges. Even though I can get to CIS via an internet connection now I don't like the real time interface there.
