Thanks for your suggestions, and discussion. For everyones benefit, I WAS refering to the EXPORT TO TYPE XLS function:). But I appreciate the additional info on what to do if I were using OLE(knowledge is power).;^p I knew I would have to make my own dialog, but I totally overlooked the 'set safety off'..duh..
