Although I am not a genius on Oracle, and I'm sure there are ways around it, but when you define a "data block", and add it to a canvas, that's it, no options for alternate database sources, or other back-end alternatives at run-time. I would think that it could be done via creating parameterized views though.


I kind of supported an Oracle app for a few months, so I did some studying. It was a year or so ago, so I'm trying to remember. But I think that the definition of the data block is that it accesses 1 and only 1 table. I believe you have to define a data block for every distinct data source you want to use.
