Try cheating on Excel.
Start a new workbook and turn the macro recorder on.
Do the formatting that you wish to be done.
Stop the macro recorder.
Take a look at the VBA code written by the recorder.
Copy it to whatever text editor you use for VFP.
The VBA code should be easy to massage into VFP. Just watch out for different systax.
