Glad to help out. I use this technique for generating forms on the fly on HP Laser printers.

>You are THE MAN! I can't get "copy file xxx.txt to lpt1:" or any variation thereof to work either (VFP 6.0, WIN98, Novell 4.11 network) - keep getting a "cannot create file" message. But, your method works like a champ, and even uses the non-proportional font I want. Bless you!
