>I am using the generic text only print driver for NT, I have set the printer to print too file, so I can send a file to our client, so they can see what the layout is. The label format I am using is 2 across, and 7 down. When you preview the Label’s all is okay, when you print the label’s to file, and then view the file with modi comm ‘filename’, it is a different story. If the label on the left is 4 lines long, and the one on the right 5 or more, for each empty line on the left label, the right label does not align up correct, it is 1 character further to the right.

Iain,
To file also poke some printer alignment codes. Alignment might be different if you've used boxes, grouping etc. To check it you could look at the file with hexedit (home()+"tools\hexedit\hexedit.scx")
I had wrote a utility to fix it in FP2.x days and could send it to you if you want.
