I am trying to import an Excel97 file into VFP6.0
The Excel file has some heavy formating (conditional, merged cells etc).
When I use the IMPORT FORM...XL8 command I get a "Internal Consistency" error message and VFP shuts down. I have copied the contents of the original Excel file into a new one, taking out all the formulas and the formating ( I kept just the values) and ran the IMPORT command again: IT WORKED. Then I have tried to APPEND FROM ... XL8 from the file that I just have successfuly imported and I got a "Fatal Error" message and... VFP shuts down.
Any idea what may be wrong or/and how I could make the APPEND FROM work since this is the command that would be more useful in my application (the IMPORT is good at the development stage when I define the structure of my recepient table)?
