Thanks for the reply Rich. We did solve the problem.
We are working on a legacy system . We decided to check the report form since we had exhausted our search for a hardware problem. We could not find the report form. So on a whim we looked for "SAY " in the form code. And we hit. This system began life a FoxBase app and this report has not been changed. The FoxBase code used the FoxPrint font which was missing from the machines giving us the problem.
Once the correct font was installed, the printing problems were corrected. Imagine that!
